The film proved to be a commercial success with a global collection of ₹1.1 billion. Janhvi was awarded the Zee Cine Award for Best Female Debut.
Thereafter, she portrayed a starring role in 2020 in Zoya Akhtar’s segment in the Netflix horror anthology movie Ghost Stories. She played a starring role together with Varun Dhawan in Nitesh Tiwari’s Bawaal (2023), a romantic drama regarding a feuding couple as they travel across Europe to learn about World War II. The movie was released digitally on Amazon Prime Video. After that, she will portray the role of a young Indian Foreign Service officer in the political thriller Ulajh and a starring role in the sports film Mr and Mrs Mahi together with Rajkummar Rao. Furthermore, Janhvi will appear together with N. T. Rama Rao Jr. in the Telugu action movie Devara by filmmaker Koratala Siva.
