She attained positive reviews due to her performance in the film which enabled her to gain more film offers. Her first Malayalam cinema was in 2019 in Malayalam cinema with Margamkali (2019). Gouri was set to make her debut in the movie Anugraheethan Antony with Sunny Wayne, though the production of the movie was delayed, which meant that Margamkali released it first.
She portrayed a starring role alongside Bibin George in Margamkali. Furthermore, she played a starring role in 2019 in a short film called Hi Hello Kadhal which the director was lyricist Vinayak Sasikumar together with her friend Sarjano Khalid. Gouri made her Telugu debut after portraying the role of Jaanu in the Telugu remake of 96, Jaanu (2020). Gouri’s acting in the movie was applauded by critics.
